Getting to be a big girl

Alaina is now 15 and a half months old. It is so hard to believe that she is growing up so quickly. I really don't know where all of the time has gone. She is running now, and boy is she quick. She says lots of words, and surprises us almost everyday with something new. She has figured out jumping, and how to climb up on the furniture. She really seems to have no fear. She loves the water and has enjoyed swimming and playing in the creek at Caledonia this summer.

Getting Ready to visit the Beach

Alaina and I are leaving Friday morning to head to VA beach for the weekend. We are headed there for a competition. I am hoping that Alaina loves the beach, I am sure she will. She loved visiting the creek at Caledonia yesterday. She certainly did not have any fear of the water. Cross your fingers for good weather!

Reflection on Fall

Maybe it is the change in the season that always causes me to reflect on the past. It is after all the time at which the seasons change from the warmth of summer to the coldness of winter. As the leaves fall I think about friends and relationships past. I reflect on where I have been and where I am going. Just as the falling leaves are disorganized into a heaping pile, as are my thoughts. So many possibilities, different paths exist. Will winter bring clarity, or just more choices. Will I come to decision by spring, the time for birth of new ideas and experiences?
